Sterling Koch
Sterling Koch (pronounced Cook) is the guitarist and lead vocalist with The Victory In Heaven Band (together now for five years) who have just released their fourth CD, "V.I.H. IV..the mission continues." In April of 2004 Sterling suffered a herniated disk in his neck forcing him to switch from 6 string guitar to 8 string lap steel guitar. The band, with Koch on lap steel guitar full time now, currently specializes in a unique style of R&B, funk and gospel/blues music. Sterling is considered one of the leading guitarists in the "Sacred Steel" style of music. |
